Dogs Who Have Found Homes

Jack in his new home and bed

Jack - Eskie/BC/JRT? mix - Male - Neutered - Approx. 2 yrs old - Vaccinated - He is crate trained and will need a little supervision on some basic house manners - Appears to be fine with cats - At the moment getting along well with other female dogs - Is very energetic and would make an excellent sports activity dog (flyball, agility, etc.). He will need an ower experienced with dominant dog behaviours.

Indi (formerly Wentworth)  - Male puppy (10 months old - Mar. 01/05).  Neutered, up to date on vac.  House trained.  Nervous of strangers and has separation anxiety. Wentworth was surrendered due to his separation anxiety. It can be very intense and his barking is very shrill when he is very stressed. He is very affectionate, loves to cuddle, follows you wherever you go. Housetrained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Nervous of people he doesn’t know - wasn’t properly socialized. Wentworth is very strong willed and will need an owner experienced with this behavior. The only adoption home considered would be: someone home most of the day, no children under 7 years of age, completely fenced yard, and new owners must be prepared to attend obedience classes.

Kiko - Male, Neutered, approx. 2 yrs. old. "Special Needs" Dog. Kiko is DEAF. He is very strong willed, but playful and affectionate and likes to sleep in bed or under the bed at night. He loves to be with you wherever you are in the house. He can be a little bossy towards other dogs. He is not afraid of cats. He is very wary of strangers when he first meets them, but will warm up with time. He now knows several hand signals. He still needs guidance for basic obedience commands, but will do them willingly once he understands what you want. He needs to go to a home where his strong willed behavior will be kept in check. We will not adopt this dog to a home with very small children.

Baxter

Baxter - Male - Mini Eskie - Approx. 3-4 yrs old - Neutered - Up-to-date on shots - Microchipped - Baxter was a stray, so we have no history on him with small children - He would do very well in a quiet home with no children with people who understand a strong willed dog - Baxter has some some strong ideas of what he wants and he must be taught new ways of being handled - He is very affectionate and cuddly - He loves walks on the leash, is very quiet and loves car rides - Cats interest him, but he needs more supervision around them - He is fully crate trained and loves a fluffy blanket in his crate - He still needs to be supervised in the house.

Jayla - Female - Eskie mix - Approx. 1 yr old - Spayed - Up-to-date on shots - Crate trained - Very playful and is still young and has a short attention span - She will tug on just about anything and still finds lots of things to chew - She can be very bossy towards other dogs and yet once she knows them, all she wants to do is play, play, play - She is interested in cats and will chase them if they run - She needs some obedience training - only knows sit at this time - She is hand shy and won't let you grab her quickly and will try not to be caught - Jayla loves car rides, but needs to be crated because of her high energy level - Jayla wants to be loved, but is not a cuddly dog - The only adoptive homes that will be considered must have a completely fenced yard, be willing to take obedience classes and do not have children under the age of 7 yrs.

Apr 07 - The Picture on the right is Jayla's graduation picture, she was 2nd in her class!

Sparky - Mini Eskie - Male - Neutered - House trained - Approx. 4 yrs. old - Vaccinated - Sparky is currently in foster care. He is smart and learns quickly - Gentle - Affectionate - He loves every person he meets, including children - Good on a leash - He’s mostly indifferent to other dogs, but can be grumpy if they try to play with him. Because of this, it’s probably best that Sparky goes to a home with no other pets. He just likes to be top dog and would prefer to be the apple of his new owner’s eye. Sparky has turned out to be a really fantastic dog and we can’t imagine why he would have been abandoned. He's very affectionate, loyal, healthy, quiet, and the perfect size too. If you don’t mind a little shedding and would like a dog who brings you a gift (a toy, or a shoe) every time you come home, then Sparky’s the one for you.
